Automata for the people*

As I wrote in a previous post,I've been looking at at automata for the past few days.And this weekend I've started my first one.Although you could say that the two Tinguelyesque machines I made are automata in a way too.
But this is a hand cranked, small,simple one to start with.The mechanism simply makes one shaft rotate and another one go up and down.After a bit of tinkering it now works as it should and I can commence building the figures which go on the shafts.
Because I'm not good at making human like figures,they will be robots.The idea I have(for now)is this:a robot with a net trying to catch some flying creatures........
